Kinship Care
Kinship Care
Kinship Care is any situation in which a child is being raised in the care of a friend or family member who is not their parent. Kinship carers are also sometimes referred to as family and friend’s carers, connected persons, kinship foster carers or special guardians. The arrangement may be temporary or longer term. The Permanency Assessment and Support Team in Tower Hamlets works to enable children to safely remain within their family networks.
