SEND Capital Grant

• SEND Capital Grant - The Department for Education (DfE) is committed to helping local authorities meet the growing demand for places for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and those requiring alternative provision. To support this, the government provides funding through the High Needs Provision Capital Allocations (HNPCA) grant, which enables local authorities to create new places and improve existing facilities.

• Contact a Family A national charity for families with disabled children that provides information, advice and support.
• Council for Disabled Children An umbrella body for the disabled children's sector bringing together professionals, practitioners and policy-makers. They have a useful handbook about disabled children and the law.
• Independent Parental Special Education Advice (IPSEA)
  Free advice on appealing to the special educational needs tribunal.
• National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) Provides support, information and advice for deaf children, young people, their families and professionals working with them.
• Young Minds Children's mental health charity.
• The National Autistic Society providers support, information and advice for autistic children, young people, their families and professionals working with them. 
• Talking Point Information on children’s communication.
• Ambitious about Autism, this includes the Include Autism guide for developing includive youth groups and the Parent Toolkit guide for early years.
• Multiple Sclerosis Trust provides information, advice and support for children and families with MS
• KIDS SEND Mediation Service An Independent mediation and disagreement resolution service, which is free of charge for your children and for young people with Special Educational Needs (age 0 to 25). 
• Choice Support The Supported Loving network has produced a series of guides to help support people with learning disabilities and autistic people with issues around sex and relationships.
• The Childrens Trust - For Children with Brain Injury
• ​Epilepsy Society - The Charity's new campaign gives people three simple but key instructions to remember in an emergency: "Calm, Cushion, Call. "
• Making Sense of MS
  It provides a brief introduction to multiple sclerosis and answers the questions most commonly asked after diagnosis.
