Discovery Home provides Residential and Day Care respite for Special Needs Children aged 8-17 yrs old. The Service accommodates a range of needs from mild to profound with an objective to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and their parents/carers.

Additional Information

Discovery Home in partnership with LBTH provides short break services for children with disabilities. The Qualb Short Break service limited is the registered provider. The overall aim of Discovery Home is to provide parents/carers with planned short breaks respite. The objective is to accommodate children and young people with special needs with the least disruption in their lives with a warm, safe and caring environment which will also enhance their achievements.

Discovery Home can take up to 3 wheelchair users at any one time. The disabilities of the children range from Emotional/Behavioural through to complex needs. Discovery Home has a 15 seater mini bus and a sensory playroom.

Opening times:
Term time: 9am - 5pm (Monday - Friday)
Weekends: 24/7
School Holidays: 24/7 (Monday - Sunday)

Our hourly rate varies but it starts from £17.00 - £21.00 per hour.
