Service Description

The Resident Support Service helps Tower Hamlets residents with benefits, Universal Credit, rent, council tax, budgeting and other financial needs.

Our dedicated officers provide advice and practical support, and can refer you to specialist organisations if needed. We aim to make it easier for residents to access help and maximise their income.

What we offer:

Help with Universal Credit applications
Benefit guidance and support
Welfare benefit entitlement checks
Support with council tax arrears
Applications to the Resident Support Scheme and other grants
Advice on utility discount schemes
Information on other benefits such as Carer’s Allowance, Tax Credits and Child Benefit

Our team can also help with grant applications like Discretionary Housing Payments. We have a diverse team who speak multiple languages, including Bengali.
