Service Description
East London Advanced Technology Training (ELATT) provide a wide range of free learning and support opportunities for adults and young people in Tower Hamlets. This includes Adult vocational learning, ELATT Sixth form courses for young people and Life skills for refugees and migrants.
We offer:-
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes – from beginners (Entry 1) to advanced (Level 2)
Functional Skills – Maths and English
Digital Skills – Essential Digital Skills and IT courses
Teaching Assistant qualifications – Level 2 Award and Level 3 Diploma
Vocational courses – Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Digital Media Production, Game Design, Software Development, Web Design, and more
Sixth Form and High Needs provision – Functional Skills, GCSE English and Maths, and Employability
We also provide employability and careers advice, with face-to-face and online clubs, and well-being workshops to support mental health and resilience. Learners also enjoy trips to cultural landmarks across London, such as the British Museum and the Tower of London.
Our ESOL classes take place at Chrisp Street and Ocean Children’s Centres, as well as other community venues across Tower Hamlets. Employability and conversation clubs are held at Best Start Family Hub - John Smith and the London Muslim Centre.

The service is free
However, if you are aged over 19, not all our Level 3 qualifications are fully funded, and you may need to take out an FE Loan to pay for your course.
If that’s the case for your Level 3 course, we’ll let you know as soon as you apply
