Service Description
We offer fully-funded Route to Employment programme for young people who are 16 to 24 years (25 years with an EHCP) old. We provide up to Level 2 Functional Skills in English and/or Maths, Digital Skills and Employability Skills. The programme can last from 2 to 22 weeks based on the candidates qualifications and needs.
After being City Gateway 'work ready' certified, the candidates can access a range of interviews with our extensive employer partner network. Candidates will be able to participate in a weekly Job Club, online Job Hub and Linkedin Talent Pool.
Route to Employment courses including functional skills (Maths and English up to Level 2), digital and employability skills, work placement and 1-1 coaching support to secure a job or apprenticeship with an employer in area of their choice.
At the end of the programme, successful candidates would have secured a paid job or apprenticeship. All candidates will be part of City Gateway Alumni Group and continue to benefit from sustainment support for at least 6 months after securing a placement.

At City Gateway, we are committed to helping people overcome the barriers to employment. All our learners get one-to-one support from a dedicated coach, work experience placements with top employers, CV writing and interview workshops. We offer personalised employment advice and guidance from professionals in the field through our mentoring programme.
In addition, we offer a host of services such as drop-in Weekly Job Club, an online Job Hub with new vacancies added every week as well as employer visits and events to gain industry insights from employers. If eligible, learners can also apply for a financial bursary to help cover costs such as travel, food, and childcare. Free breakfast daily and access to a weekly food bank is available to all learners.
