Idea Stores are more than just a library or a place for learning. As well as library services, they offer a wide range of adult learning courses and an extensive activities and events programme for all the family.

Idea Store Watney Market, which opened on Tuesday 14 May 2013, is based on three floors (the site has lifts to each floor and a ramp at the entrance) and offers a wide range of services and events for adults, youths and children. The £4.5 million Idea Store was jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund and Tower Hamlets Council and includes:- Careers Young WorkPath who provide careers information, advice and guidance and employability support for Tower Hamlets young people in school/college and not in education, employment or training (NEET) aged between 13 and 19 and up to 25 if they have an education, health and care plan.

Joining your local Idea Store or library is easy and FREE. Just visit one of our Idea Stores or libraries and complete the application form for membership. You will need to provide proof of your name and address - this could be a driving licence, a medical card, a utility bill or any official communication that you have recently received.
