The Children’s Occupational Therapy Team provide a service to children and young people who have a developmental disability or medical condition that affects their ability to perform daily activities or occupations at home, school or in the community.

Our purpose is to support children’s inclusion, participation and independence in the regular occupations of childhood.

The service in addition to supporting children’s engagement in activities of daily life, also provides support to parents to assist in the management of their child’s daily care needs.

We aim to provide a client centered approach and promote a collaborative approach with families, schools and other services to achieve shared goals through evidence based practice.

In order to access and benefit from the service young people need to demonstrate motivation to engage and work with an occupational therapist to achieve their functional goals.
