Support for adults with substance misuse problems involved in the criminal justice system. Working closely with the criminal justice system, the DIP specialises in addressing criminogenic needs as well as developing a sustainable treatment and support package.

Tower Hamlets DIP has been specifically set up for individuals who are involved with the Criminal Justice System. It is the first point of contact for help and support to those who have been arrested and want to address their drug or alcohol dependency.
If you have been arrested, charged, face going to court, subject to a Probation order, or have entered or left prison, we can support you. DIP is a service which operates in Tower Hamlets and is completely free and confidential.

• To help you eliminate the need to commit crime

Are your in prison?
We have a team of Prison Exit Practitioners visiting prisons to ensure your needs are assessed prior to your release and a care plan is in place. Speak to your Recovery Worker in Prison or a Tower Hamlets Prison Exit Practitioner for more information.
Eligibility:
1. Use of any illicit drugs or alcohol
2. Have entered the Criminal Justice system
3. 18 years of age and over
4. Resident of Tower Hamlets
