Description
Service Description
Established over a century ago to enable young adults in East London to gain an education, our successful Sixth Form attracts a wide range of students from across the world, and in 2014 we were very proud to be the most improved Sixth Form in the borough. We offer a range of academic pathways focusing on traditional A-Level programmes of study, as well as BTEC courses. In recent years, our results have placed above national average, with the top 12% of schools in England and on average 77% of George Green’s students continue their studies at university.
Occupying an enviable location on the River Thames, with the historic Greenwich to the South and Canary Wharf and the Docklands to the North, we have a strong connections with our inner City of London partners, but a tradition of looking beyond our corner in London and taking a global approach to learning with an intercultural education, to ensure bright futures.
Our vision of ‘Adventurous, Ambitious and Excellence’ is replicated in our Sixth Form, passionate staff, an enriching educational provisional and a variety of extra- opportunities designed to develop the students personally and academically prepare Sixth Form students for life after George Green’s and a competitive edge when entering their chosen pathway.
