Safe East – Compass is an integrated health and wellbeing service for young people in Tower Hamlets. We provide advice, support and treatment around issues relating to: Drug and alcohol use, Sexual health, and Smoking. Our services are free, friendly, and confidential.

Additional Information
Client led interventions around drugs, alcohol, smoking, and sexual health including:
- Brief intervention
- 1:1 structured intervention (more than 4 sessions) and unstructured intervention up to 4 sessions) with young people
- Workshops at schools, youth clubs and partnership agencies
- Targeted group work to at risk groups of young people
- Outreach
- Clinical support
- Onward referral to specialist teams
- Free training to professionals who work with young people
Regarding sexual health, we provide:
• Emergency contraception
• Variety of contraceptives including long acting reversable contraception (LARC).
• Pregnancy testing
• Termination of Pregnancy Referrals
• Advice and support with pregnancy options and onward referrals
• Condoms including C-Card registration and supplies
• STI testing (including HIV testing)
• Universal and targeted Sex and Relationships Education (SRE).
Safe East provides a service from Monday to Friday at 59 Mile End Road, E1 4TT. It also runs outreach sessions at a number of different venues. Safe East encourages young people who face any difficulties with drugs, alcohol, smoking, and their sexual health to contact our hub. We also offer information and advice to young people, families, and professionals regarding the above issues. Please contact us to book an appointment.
