St Stephen’s Health Centre is an NHS healthcare provider.
We are a team, working in partnership with our local community to help promote and support health and wellbeing.

We aim to offer appointments when it is most convenient to you, in comfortable surroundings with polite and friendly staff. We want all patients to get an appointment and a service to suit their lifestyle.
Depending on availability, you may be able to:
Get a routine appointment within 48 hours
Book an appointment at least 2 weeks in advance with the doctor or practice nurse
Get an appointment as early as 7.30am
Get an appointment as late as 7.20pm twice a week
If appropriate ask the Doctor to deal with your emergency over the telephone if that is more convenient for you
In addition to the above we offer a wide range of other services including: Home
Visits when necessary, Psychologist, Health Visitors, Baby Clinic, Antenatal Clinic, Blood Clinics, New Patient Health Checks, Nurse Clinics, and we also have a surgeon who performs minor surgery on site.
Making an appointment
Appointments can be made by calling our reception on 020 8980 1760. Alternatively you can book an appointment online.
Depending on availability, you may be able to get a routine appointment within 48 working hours with any of our practice doctors. If you feel you cannot wait until the next routine appointment please phone before 11am and a doctor will call you back.
Evening/weekends
You can now see a GP or other healthcare professional during
Weekday evenings between 6:30pm and 8:00pm
Saturdays and Sundays
To book an appointment talk to our Reception team. You may be able to get an appointment on the same day if required.

Your GP practice
Another local GP practice
Another local NHS service – such as a General Practice HUB
Urgent and routine appointments with a GP, either same day or in advance are now available in Tower Hamlets.
Patients registered with a Tower Hamlets GP practice can book an appointment at the service through their GP practice. These appointments are not suitable for all types of problems. (NOTE: This is not a walk-in service)
The opening hours are 4pm – 8pm weekdays and 8am – 8pm weekends and Bank Holidays. You can book an appointment by contacting your own GP practice.
Our GP Out of Hours Services may also offer you an appointment at one of the HUBS if you need to be seen urgently.
Staff will have access to your medical records, but only if you give your consent.
