Day nurseries provide childcare and learning for children from birth to 5 years. They can be run by private businesses, voluntary groups or by the local authority. All day nurseries on the Family Services Directory are registered with Ofsted. Hours vary and usually part time and full time places are available.

Every day care setting has a named Inclusion Coordinator who is responsible for working with parents to plan for children’s needs.
