Service Description
Tower Hamlets Young Adult Cares provides - services to enrich and enhance the lives of all unpaid Carers (16+) who care for someone (16+) who lives in Tower Hamlets.
This includes information and advice, Carers Assessments, welfare rights and a comprehensive wellbeing service.
The people they care for could be a relative, friend or neighbour who may be affected by disability, physical or mental ill-health, frailty or substance misuse. A carer does not need to be living with the person they care for.

Tower Hamlets Young Adult Cares provides provides wellbeing services including massage therapies, an overnight retreat, yoga, arts and crafts as well as a range of condition specific peer support groups such our monthly dementia group.
All of our services are FREE.
Targeted one to one support, including:
• Dedicated support worker to help with issues like, mental health, education and employment
• Cares Needs Assessments
• Welfare benefits support
• Help with the person you care for
Group sessions, including:
• An informal weekly social group for carers to meet and make friends (food and drink included!)
• Discussions on topics like mental health, healthy eating, relationships, careers and personal development
• Monthly film club
• Day trips and activities chosen by group members e.g. paintballing, go-karting, country walks, pottery making, seaside, museums / galleries, residential trips and more! (Food transport and entry, all free!)
