We're the UK's leading asthma charity. There are over five million people with asthma in the UK, and we're here for them when they need us most.
Advice and support to people with asthma and their family and friends. We campaign and seek to influence to improve the quality of life for people with asthma.
We provide information via our website or publications. We also have an advice line staffed by specialist asthma nurses.
Please note: We are unable to answer any medical queries by email. If your asthma has been troubling you or you have questions about your medicines or inhalers, please call our asthma nurses on 0300 222 5800 (Option 3).
There may be times when we can’t answer your call straight away. If all our respiratory nurse specialists are busy, you may be transferred to a health care advisor who can arrange a call back from one of the nurses. You could also send a message on Whatsapp 07378 606728. Our respiratory nurse specialists will get back to you within 24 hours.
What if it’s an emergency?
Call 999 for an ambulance if: you’re having an asthma attack and your symptoms don’t improve after ten puffs of your blue reliever inhaler.
Remember: the Asthma UK Helpline offers advice and support, not medical treatment. If your asthma symptoms are getting worse, call 111 or make an urgent appointment with your GP or asthma nurse to review your treatments.
What if I have speech or hearing difficulties?
Please get in touch with us using WhatsApp to get expert advice from one of our respiratory nurse specialists. Just send us a message on 07378 606728.
