There may be times when we can’t answer your call straight away. If all our respiratory nurse specialists are busy, you may be transferred to a health care advisor who can arrange a call back from one of the nurses. What if it’s an emergency?
Call 999 for an ambulance if: you’re having an asthma attack and your symptoms don’t improve after ten puffs of your blue reliever inhaler.
Remember: the Asthma UK Helpline offers advice and support, not medical treatment. If your asthma symptoms are getting worse, call 111 or make an urgent appointment with your GP or asthma nurse to review your treatments.
What if I have speech or hearing difficulties?
