After 15 weeks, 1 digital election, and almost 8,000 votes the results for the Young Mayor Election are officially in.

We held the Young Mayor Inauguration Ceremony at Haileybury Youth Centre earlier this week. 14 brilliant young people stood as candidates, out of a record breaking 95 applicants to become the next young mayor. 

After a week-long election from 1 - 7 December, young people from across the borough cast their votes.

Congratulations to Musa Noor, our new Young Mayor, who secured nearly 3,000 votes in this election, and our 5 Deputy Young Mayors.

What does the Young Mayor Team do?

The Young Mayor Team represents young people locally, regionally, and nationally, working with councillors, decision-makers, and the Youth Council to ensure the voice of young people in Tower Hamlets is heard.
