Service Description
The Play Pavilion and Children's Park is a part of Mile End Park and is run by the Parks and Open Spaces Team of Tower Hamlets Council.
This is a fully inclusive playground which includes high quality play equipment to stimulate creative and imaginative play.
There is a kiosk in the playground which services hot and cold drinks and snacks.
The Play Pavilion is fully accessible. All sessions at the Pavilion are free and all children who are residents in Tower Hamlets are welcome.
Stay and Play sessions for under 5s take place in the Play Pavilion from 12:30pm - 3:30pm Monday to Friday (term time only). The session is aimed at under 5s and is a parent led session, where children have an opportunity to take part in a number of activities. There is no need to book, but spaces are limited.
The Toyhouse Centre run early years sessions in the Pavilion for under 5s from 10am - 12pm on Mondays and Wednesdays during term time.

There are portaloo toilets but no baby changing facilities in the playground. There are baby changing facilities and accessible toilets available to those attending play sessions in the Play Pavilion.
If you are bringing a school group to the playground please contact us in advance to let us know the size of your group. We may turn groups away if the playground is over capacity.
