Children's Occupational Therapy Team
The Children’s Occupational Therapy Team provide a service to children and young people who have a developmental disability or medical condition that affects their ability to perform daily activities or occupations at home, school or in the community.
Our purpose is to support children’s inclusion, participation and independence in the regular occupations of childhood.
The service in addition to supporting children’s engagement in activities of daily life, also provides support to parents to assist in the management of their child’s daily care needs.
We aim provide a client centered approach and promote a collaborative approach with families, schools and other services to achieve shared goals through evidence based practice.
Children and young people are referred by professionals using Single Point of Access (SPA) referral form.
Parent Workshops are offered for children with learning disability and ASD before individual intervention.
