The Complete Works Alternative Education

Description

Service Description

The Complete Works Alternative Education is a registered charity and independent school providing alternative education for students out of mainstream schools. Each student is considered on an individual basis, and a tailor-made programme of education is designed to meet his or her specific needs.

This may take the form of one-to-one education in a home or library, group education in one of our centres, or a combination of both. The school’s motto is ‘Learning Creatively, Achieving Academically’ and we use creative approaches to ignite our student’s interest in education.

Students can study a range of subjects including English, maths and science as well as creative subjects like photography, music, art and construction. We are a registered exam centre offering qualifications including GCSE, Functional Skills and Arts Award.

All places at our school must be commissioned through a recognised institution. We do not accept private referrals.

Prices vary, based upon programme and must be funded by a recognised institute/authority.

Our staff are training to work with most Special Educational Needs and all these needs are overseen by our qualified SENCo.

Individual education can be arranged to take place at student’s homes or walk with them to local libraries. Transport can also be requested from the local authority in some cases.

We work closely with parents and due to the high ratios of staff to students, teachers are able to communicate daily with parents as required.
