Service Description
The Advisory Teacher for ICT/SEN and Inclusion role has three principal tasks. Advice and assessment on the use of technology to improve curriculum access for individuals and groups of children and young people with special educational needs. This covers any area of learning need in any phase of school. There is no formal referral process.
Training in and out of school to support the use of technology to develop inclusive practices.Specific projects to support curriculum development, such diverse areas as using animation to support speech and language skills, or teaching Computer Science to Key Stage 3 students with SEND.
We will also support school development planning, and advise on procurement to support pupil learning needs.

Age Groups - We mainly work with children and young people of statutory school age, 3-19. However, where an Education Health and Care Plan is in place this becomes birth to 25.
We also offer in-school training to parents to enable them to support the use of technology with their children and sometimes parents join our training sessions too.We are also able to offer home visits when appropriate to help support the use of assistive technology, or online learning, in and out of school.
