Little Limehouse

Description

Service Description

We are a graduate-led Preschool currently opening term time and provide all children with high quality teaching and learning to reach their potential.

Our Preschool environment is bright, welcoming and equipped with resources that encourage children to explore and experiment based on their experiences.
We offer sessional care from as well as full day care.

We are fortunate to have an outdoor play area in the heart of Limehouse; this has artificial turf with natural resources and materials supporting exploration, fun and discovery about the world around them.

As a setting, we are part of the Healthy Early Years London (HEYL) scheme and promote healthy lifestyles, well-being and development of our children. We offer milk and healthy snacks during the morning and afternoon sessions. Children attending full days are required to bring in a healthy packed lunch.

Our aim is to prepare children for school and give them a safe and secure base to explore their environment and become independent resilient learners. Our children are involved in events within the local area as well as celebrating the diverse community at the setting. Families are encouraged to take part in Preschool life, as we believe children thrive when their families are involved in their education.

The Preschool is a Limehouse Project initiative, which is a pioneering grass roots community-led charity, which has worked to respond to the needs of minority communities for over 30 years.

Our premises is on an estate, and is located on the ground floor with an intercom system. We have an open plan nursery space with age-appropriate resources that we transfer to accommodate the needs of the children.

Our highly qualified staff are trained to support children with additional needs. The manager is an early years graduate with experience and expertise in supporting children, as the Inclusion Coordinator.

As a charity, we are driven by excellence and our commitment is to offer high quality services that are affordable for local parents both in and out of work.
