Barnardo's Children's Rights Service - Advocacy

Description

Service Description

The Children’s Right Independent Advocacy Service provides advocacy for Looked after Children, Care Leavers & Children with Disabilities accommodated by the LBTH.
Independent Issue based Advocacy for Looked after Children, Care Leavers & Children with Disabilities accommodated by the LBTH:
Example issues may include:

• Housing
• Placements
• Education
• Benefit Entitlement
• Care Leaver’s Financial Entitlement
• Transitional Support
• Immigration
• Exit Interviews

As well as issue-based Advocacy, we can provide advice, information and guidance on your rights and entitlements. We also want to hear from young people about your experiences in the care of Tower Hamlets.

We are offering exit interviews to care leavers, where you will be able to tell us what you think has gone well, and what you think should be improved for other children and young people looked after by Tower Hamlets. We will keep your answers anonymous and we will use them to make changes for others. We will also provide a high street voucher as a thank-you for your time, so please get in touch if you are interested.
