Service Description

Short Breaks enables children and young people with learning disabilities and difficulties to access activities that help them have fun try new activities, gain independence and most of all make new friends. Short breaks services is one of the most commonly requested services made by parents of children with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Parents, you can only self-refer if you are in receipt of direct payments, otherwise the referral would have to be sent by LBTH Children with Disabilities team.

The homecare service is for children and adults where carers go into their home to support with washing, dressing, household chores, and medications. The befriending service is supporting children and young people with accessing activities in the community. The sessions can be in a group or one to one support.
