Legal advice and help for people who live or work in Tower Hamlets on a range of issues, including housing, immigration, welfare benefits and education. Open Monday to Friday, with timeslots for specific area of advice. Minority languages spoken or access to interpreters.

THLC provides legal advice and representation, mainly to people who work and live in the borough.

Specialist Welfare Benefits Advice - available to individuals who work or live in Tower Hamlets and to other advice agencies in Tower Hamlets - we make service users with a disability a priority where we can

Specialist Housing Advice - available to individuals who work or live in Tower Hamlets and to other advice agencies in Tower Hamlets

Specialist Immigration Advice - available to individuals who work or live in Tower Hamlets and to other advice agencies in Tower Hamlets - we can assist 30 clients a year under this service - we make those who are vulnerable or who have no other options a priority

Information, Advice (non-specialist) and Advocacy Service - for Adults and Young People (14 plus) with support needs - available to those who work or live in Tower Hamlets on a range of issues:
- social care, housing, financial advice, volunteering, benefits advice, leisure, health and employment

Pro Bono Evening Services - available to individuals who work or live in Tower Hamlets; Housing & Employment provided on alternate Mondays 6.30-8.30pm - please phone for dates of sessions. Welfare Benefits provided fortnightly on Wednesdays 4.30-6.00pm. Access on first come first seen basis, due to capacity it may not be necessary to limit numbers.

Services more widely available:

Housing and Community Care Legal Aid services - available to those living and working in Tower Hamlets and Newham and to those in other boroughs if they come to one of our offices and we have capacity to take on the case.
Clients will need to meet financial eligibility requirements and be within the areas covered for legal aid

Bow County Court Housing Possession Scheme - available to those in the catchment area of the court i.e. Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest and Redbridge - service users are assisted at the court if they have a relevant possession proceeding and we are on duty

Immigration Asylum and Domestic Violence Legal Aid services - available to those living and working in London and to those in other areas of the UK if you come to one of our offices and we have capacity to take on the case.
Clients will need to meet financial eligibility requirements and be within the areas covered for legal aid

Trust for London Immigration Asylum and Domestic Violence Project - available to those living and working in East London who face domestic violence

Paying for a Solicitor / Advice Service - we are currently piloting a service where clients can pay if they are seeking immigration advice - other areas of law may also be made available - this service is available to those living and working in London and to those in other areas of the UK where appropriate - please ring us for more details.
