Children’s Centres help give your child the best start in life. If you are expecting a baby or are a parent or carer with a child under five, you can attend a range of free universal sessions. You can also access child and family health services, childcare and early years education advice as well as volunteering and training support.

Children’s centres also provide one to one support for families with children under 11.”

The Children's Centre offers services for families with children under 5, by offering play sessions, family support to families who are in need of behaviour management for their children, knowing how to manage their money, knowing how to apply for schools, social housing, or counselling and many other things.

We have staff that are able to support parents with recruitment and training and give advice on Welfare Reform (Benefit) changes.

We have a Parent Forum that meets at the Centre monthly (term time only) at our main site at Chrisp Street Children's Centre 23-27 Market Way 1:30pm - 3:30pm last Wednesday of the month. This group is for parents to come together monthly to share in activities and also have a say in how the Children's Centre run.

We are one of the collection points for parents to pick up their vitamins for under 5’s and pregnant and nursing mothers.

This is just some of the support we offer at the Centre, we also offer housing advice surgeries, cook and eat courses, young parents group and many other things.
