In addition to the contemporary art gallery, Chisenhale gallery runs events for families, artist led schools programmes and also events for young people.
Chisenhale Gallery is in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Close to both Victoria Park and the Queen Elizabeth Park and adjacent to the Hertford Union Canal, the gallery is in the heart of London's East End. Chisenhale Gallery produces an integrated artistic, education and outreach programme; artist-led with a core focus on commissioning ground-breaking new work and developing audiences. Outreach activities include artist-led workshops, family days, parents' coffee mornings, schools visit, vocational activities for young people and teachers' previews on site at the gallery.
Chisenhale Gallery is a not-for-profit registered charity and one of Arts Council England's National Portfolio Organisations.
There are a number of activities that we provide here at Chisenhale Gallery such as: Family workshops, Coffee mornings, Teachers preview, Community workshops, School workshops, Youth programmes and Careers day (creative). All these activities take place with each exhibition. We have up to 5 exhibitions per year. The creative careers day is once per year and held at a local tower hamlets school.
