The National Autistic Society Autism offers information and advice service for autistic people and their families and carers in the UK.

They offer:

- guidance and advice on their website
- five specialist helpline and case work services relating to education rights, school exclusions, autism inpatient mental health, transitions from school and parent to parent emotional support
- the Autism Services Directory where you can search for autism services across the country
- branches and online community which offer peer - to - peer support

Autism Support Tower Hamlets is a project that is being run by the National Autistic Society in partnership with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It provides information, advice and support to the parents and carers of children and young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) living in the borough.

Some of the services offered include:
- a home visit, as soon as requested after diagnosis to meet families and discuss needs and concerns
- information and advice to help families learn more about ASD and gain confidence in meeting their child's needs
- information about local services appropriate to the needs of the family and support in accessing these services
- ongoing telephone support if needed
- seminars and workshops about ASD that are tailored to the needs of families (e.g. parent seminars on managing anger, supporting siblings etc)
- a lending library of books on ASD and related topics.
