Morpeth is a co-educational school for pupils aged 11 to 18. In our most recent Ofsted inspection we achieved our second successive ‘Outstanding’ grading. All aspects of the school including ‘pupil achievement’, ‘behaviour’ and ‘quality of teaching’ were deemed ‘outstanding’.
We believe our success is built upon the professionalism and commitment of all our staff – teaching and support - and a shared set of values.
We are proud to reflect the population of Tower Hamlets, with a good mix of boys and girls from all ethnic groups in our borough. We see the positive relationships between all those groups, and between pupils and staff, as a strength of the school.
Morpeth has also benefitted from huge investment in its buildings and landscaping, and now has superb facilities that we are all justifiably proud of.
Our exam results at GCSE continue to be above the national average and Morpeth Sixth Formers have progressed to top universities. You can find further information about our pupils’ success in our Exam Results 2017 and Sixth Form Destinations sections.
We are proud of our school community and are always willing to provide families and visitors with any further information they need. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further queries.
Morpeth Sixth Form has over 350 students and continues to build on Morpeth’s long standing success at GCSE level, where results are consistently above the national average.
In 2017, 57% of entries achieved A*-B grades or Distinction*/Distinction at A level and BTEC. Our Level 3 BTEC results put us in the top 10% of schools nationally.
