Service Description

Somali Integration Team is a Somali womens only organisation.
The aim of SIT is to help women living in Tower Hamlets from a wide range of backgrounds Those on low incomes or facing other forms of cultural or social disadvantage are targeted to become independent and to access services which can help them to develop skills and confidence. SIT has a particular emphasis on supporting the needs of Somali women and promoting social cohesion between Somali women and their wider comminuities.

We run various projects for this target group in LAP 1/2 these include:

Somali Parents Empowerment and Awareness Project

Advice and Guidance/ Befriending Drop in Sessions

Coffee mornings

Physical Activity Workshops

Keep-fit Exercise Classes

Cycling classes for girls primarily Somali girls
