Melodies for Mums in Tower Hamlets - Taster Sessions and 6-Week Programme

Details

Description

We are excited to let you know we are hosting some taster sessions for our pioneering programme Melodies for Mums in August and a 6 week programme starting in September 2022.

Based on ground-breaking research from Royal College of Music and Imperial College London, Breathe Melodies for Mums was designed with mum at the heart, to support those who may be experiencing feelings of stress, anxiety and social isolation.
Breathe Melodies for Mums is a fun way to boost mood, unwind and de-stress through the joy of singing and music-making. Sessions are led by a specialist arts and health Singing Leader with songs ranging from folk to gospel, in a number of different languages. This is a programme aimed at mothers with babies aged under one.

Sessions are free to attend and women can self-refer but do require simple prior registration here: www.breathahr.org/melodies-for-mums
All information plus a short film including interviews with previous participants can be found here alongside registration.

The Taster sessions are:
Monday 8th August 1.30pm - 2.30pm at Collingwood Children & Family Centre (Buckhurst Street E1 )
Monday 15th August 1.30pm – 2.30pm at Collingwood CFC (Buckhurst Street E1)
Thursday 18th August 1:30pm-2:30pm at Brady Arts Centre in Hanbury Street E1
