Are you a young person wanting to explore art and design for 5 days?
Then come and learn about the history of British Bangladeshis in London while being creative!
Celebrating 50 years of Bangladesh’s independence, fashion designer Rahemur Rahman and young people from Tower Hamlets will recreate a living space creatively depicting the homes of the British Bangladeshi community in London from 1971.
This is a free five day youth arts workshop programme from 26 – 30 July at the Brady Arts Centre. The workshop is for young people aged 13 – 19 (25 SEND). You will learn how to research for art and design, how to design for interiors, how to create tie dye fabrics using natural dyes, and how to create wallpaper. The art installation will take place at the Kobi Nazrul Centre in the heart of Banglatown between 25 Nov and 14 Dec 2021.
All materials, equipment and lunch will be provided. All we ask is you come wanting to learn!

Spaces are limited - Closing date for applications 16 July. Interviews will take place on 17 July.
