Come and join us for our first Somali Parents and Carers Network meeting of the Autumn Term - to meet other parents and share your experiences. The September meeting welcomes Manal Adam, Public Health Programme Officer, who will share the latest health guidance as children return to school. Manal will lead a discussion on keeping safe during the Covid-19 pandemic and answer questions on when and how to test for Covid-19 and much more.

The network is an established support group for Somali parents in the borough that meets every month during term time. It provides a space for Somali parents to share their experiences, listen to guest speakers and discuss topics relating to education, health, parenting and safeguarding.

The Parental Engagement Team has been adapting to the current health situation by inviting Somali parents and carers to virtual network meetings instead of the usual face-to- face meetings.
