The forum is intended to bring together the GOSH Cleft Team and families in a relaxed, informal and non-clinical setting providing an opportunity for meaningful discussion around the issues faced by those with a cleft lip/palate. This years forum is based on the care pathway for children aged 0-3 and will give parents an opportunity to discuss any aspect of treatment. The Cleft team from GOSH will talk through the care pathway given from birth up to the age of 3 and will include early feeding, preparing for surgery, primary surgery, post op care, hearing and early speech development. There will then be a chance to ask questions and then informally chat with the team over coffee and biscuits. There will be play specialists providing care for those that wish to bring their children along.
