The contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society will be highlighted and celebrated as part of a diverse programme of activities to mark Women’s History Month this March.
Activities include sports and wellbeing sessions, a community and family day, Women’s Spring Open, an exhibition to celebrate the talent and creativity of women artists, and 500 years of Irish Women in Tower Hamlets, hosted by Tower Hamlets Local History Library and Archives.

Supported by Tower Hamlets Council and co-ordinated by community organisation Alternative Arts, the month will also showcase contemporary women artists, activists, performers, writers, and community groups in events and exhibitions in galleries, libraries and institutions. 

Womens History Month Events
