Local charity launches world’s largest genetics study

Social Action for Health (SAfH), a health inequality and community development charity in East London, are working with Queen Mary University to promote Genes & Health - the biggest study in the world researching genetics in people of Bangladeshi and Pakistani heritage.

People of Bangladeshi and Pakistani origin have some of the highest rates of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and poor health in the UK. The charity aims to break the cycle of health inequality, and improve medication and health outcomes for future generations.
