Are you looking for things to do this Easter break?

Are you looking for things to do this Easter Holiday?

We have put together loads of useful resources, including advice, support, information, and activities:

In our Events Section you can find out about all the latest events. Please note that some service timetables or recurring events are subject to change during this period, please contact the provider prior to attending. You can also look at what you can usually find in our events section by searching SEN, SEND, Disabled, Disability, or the name of a specific SEND condition. Here is some information about activities and events along with support and advice details.

Holiday Activities and Food Scheme

The Holiday Activities and Food Scheme (HAF) offers free fun activities and meals over the Easter School holidays. Places are available for children in reception up to Year 11 (inclusive) who receive Free School Meals. Each provider will indicate whether they accomodate or are focused on children and young people with SEND.

Childcare

For information about childcare available to you over the holiday period, you can contact the childcare providers in our Childcare Directory or in our records of Holiday Childcare Club Providers. We would recommend that you contact any childcare providers you like as soon as possible as they may receive a high volume of bookings.

The Tower Hamlets Holiday Childcare scheme applications are open for the upcoming Easter Holiday. The Tower Hamlets Holiday Childcare Scheme is a universal service providing support to all children including those with SEND. If your child requires additional support from 1:1 to 1:3 care, this can be supported on completion of a different application process which you can access on the link provided above.

As with any time of year, choosing a club or activity for any child can be a challenge. You might like to read our pages about choosing a childcare provider which give some useful advice about choosing safe and appropriate childcare or extracurricular activities. If your child has SEND and you are struggling to find activities for your child to do, you can contact the Inclusion Service.

We hope you enjoy your Spring Holiday. The Family Information Service will be available during this period to answer your questions. If you have any questions about support available to you in Tower Hamlets over this period, or any questions about the Local Offer, you can contact us at [email protected] or 020 7364 6495.
