CFGS caters for 1533 girls aged 11-19, providing a dynamic and constantly improving learning environment. The school was originally established in 1726 and is now one of the largest schools in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

It is linked with the Central Foundation Boys’ School in Islington.
