Tower Hamlets has many diverse parks, gardens and open spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy. Play areas for children, leisure and recreational facilities, nature reserves, walking trials and live events are just a few of the things that can be enjoyed in the borough’s parks and open spaces.
The Council provides a Park Ranger Service and is responsible for the maintenance of wide variety of parks and green spaces in the area.
Tower Hamlets has won many awards for its floral delights and the quality and management of its parks and open spaces, including the Green Flag Award. Winning a Green Flag Award is a sign of prestige and excellence and currently six parks and open spaces in the borough have received this award.

Victoria Park is located within the Bow East and Bow West Wards of Tower Hamlets. The whole of the park lies within Tower Hamlets, but the park is bordered on its northern boundary by the London Borough of Hackney. It serves a large residential population in both boroughs and is the largest park within Tower Hamlets.
The park is the most popular outdoor visitor destination for borough residents and it also attracts many tourists and visitors from outside of the borough. It has many fine features including superb trees, avenues, lakes and floral displays. A wide range of formal and informal sports, sponsored activities, events and festivals take place throughout the year
This large park, fringed by the Hertford Union Canal, has lakes, fountains and tea rooms it is reminiscent of Regent's Park.
Guarding the main Sewaradstone Road are the 'Dogs of Alcibiades', which have stood here since 1912.
