Children’s Centres aim to help give your child the best start in life. If you are expecting a baby or are a parent or carer with a child under five, they can provide family support, early years education, child and family health services, childcare advice, volunteering and training support.

The Marner Children’s Centre is one of twelve Sure Start Children’s Centres in Tower Hamlets and provides a range of services for families with an under 5 year old. The Marner Children’s Centre works in partnership with health professionals and other Early Years practitioners. We nurture an environment of inclusiveness, peer support and self-help where the views of the child and family are valued. We have three main teams:
1. The Family Support Team work in line with the LBTH Wellbeing Model and who take referrals from a range of professionals as well as health professionals and self-referrals
2. The Play and Learning Team work in line with the EYFS and have dedicated early year’s practitioners who deliver targeted and universal activities for developmental learning opportunities for children 0-5 years
3. The Community Development Officer provides a training, volunteering and employment service for parents of under 5 years old to reduce child poverty. The Community Development Officers facilitate parental engagement and Children’s Centre Governance.

Marner Children’s Centre adheres to LBTH legislation and policies and procedure including child protection and safeguarding.
