Housed in what was once London's biggest ragged, or free, school, this family-friendly museum welcomes people of all ages to taste a slice of Victorian life. Through the reconstructed classroom, and an installation about a one-room home, you can experience how the poor lived in the East End, over a century ago.

On the first Sunday of every month, the museum holds Victorian Lessons at 11.30 and 12:45. Entry to the lessons is covered by admission to the museum. No booking required - first come first served!
The museum/heritage site offers school visits and free family activities during school holidays. Activities are hands-on, creative and based around learning about the Victoria era. Activities very from holiday to holiday, but always with a focus on family learning, arts and craft, and play.
Activities are open to all and appropriate for children and adults with a range of disabilities and special educational needs.
