The Inclusion Service aims to help children with disabilities to access mainstream services within the community. Our main aims are to build friendship groups, develop confidence, promote independence and ensure our children get to have fun. After receiving the referral, the inclusion officer will arrange to meet the family and build a one page profile of the young person. This will then be passed on to service providers to ensure the young person is supported appropriately. The family will regularly be updated on the young person’s progress which will be reviewed every 6 months with support plans put into place. The inclusion officer will also work closely with service providers making sure that staffs are adequately trained to support our children the best way possible. There is a variety of different activities available for children and young people to enjoy through the Inclusion Service.
Lessons for children with a disability following the ASA learn to swim framework.
Swimming lessons as part of Better Swim School for children with a disability. During the swimming lessons the children will be accessed about the ASA Learn to Swim Pathway, and once they have completed a stage they will receive a badge and certificate. You will be able to track their progress on our home portal online on your computer.
