Description

Service Description

City Gateway established City Gateway 14-19 Provision in 2012 to increase the number of young people who can gain the skills they need to enter sustained employment, and it is now a vital part of our entry to employment progression model. Our training team will support learners every step of the way to progress and give them the best possible chance to succeed.

City Gateway 14-19 Provision is an alternative provision provider for 14-19 year olds; schools and local authorities can commission us to provide statutory education to disengaged or hard to reach learners who are at Key Stage Four. 16-19 year old learners undertake pre-employment courses designed to prepare them to enter employment through Apprenticeships. These NEET learners are engaged onto exciting courses that will provide a solid basis for employment.

City Gateway has been achieving excellent results with young people for almost 15 years, working with those who are not thriving in mainstream education. Opening City Gateway 14-19 Provision has helped ensure we can reach more young people who are disengaged by mainstream education, whilst complimenting the core progression routes of Apprenticeships in major firms in London.

In May 2014, City Gateway 14-19 Provision was graded Outstanding in our first Ofsted inspection. You can read the full report here.
