Service Description

The parent workshops

The children’s occupational therapy team run 4 weekly workshops for parents of children over 5 years old who have a developmental delay or disability.

The workshops will help parents know how to develop their children’s independence and teach them new skills.

A Bengali speaking support worker will be available for the workshops.

How long do the groups run?

The groups will run weekly for 4 weeks. Each session is for 2 hours with a break for tea in the middle.

The service is accessible to children and aims to help overcome obstacles, which may interfere with their ability to function within their environments.
