Description

Service Description

Our school has been providing boys with the very best Catholic education in Tower Hamlets since merging with the Girls’ school in 2001. Though we are a Federated school, we believe that girls and boys are successful when educated separately between the ages of 11 and 16.

Our school community is founded on the gospel values; our school motto, “Christ at the Centre”, epitomises this. Catholic values are at the heart of all that we do at Bishop Challoner. We aim develop in our Boys’ a moral compass that gives them the ability to judge what is right and what is wrong and enables them to contribute to the common good of the world.

Catholic education offers more than just academic success and at Bishop Challoner one of our goals is to ensure the social, spiritual and moral wellbeing of a young person. It is our belief that education must aim to produce happy, successful students who are equipped with the skills to flourish in life. At Bishop Challoner we work hard to ensure our Boys are provided with the opportunities to enable them to develop these holistic, lifelong skills.

We will provide your son with access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources. We aim to create the best possible learning environment for your son, a climate that is developed through discipline, Christian values and outstanding teaching.

Additional Information

The modern Bishop Challoner was born in 2001 when the Boys’ School moved on to the existing Girls’ School site in Hardinge Street, where the Sixth Form campus completed the new-look Federated school. Since then, the Boys’ School intake has flourished with the number of boys on roll growing year on year.

We are a caring community where, supported by the ideals and practice of our Catholic faith, the uniqueness of each boy is acknowledged and his ability, aptitude and gifts developed to the full.

Consequently, our concept of education is a broad one. Equal emphasis is placed on all aspects of education - the spiritual, academic, cultural and the social, in an effort to promote a balanced and integrated view of life.
