Services for disabled children in Tower Hamlets are provided by teams across health and council services, as well as by a range of voluntary sector and some private sector organisations. Health and council services work as an Integrated Team in order to work effectively together to meet the needs of disabled children and young people with a timely and coordinated approach.
Audiology is a service for people of all ages and abilities with hearing and balance difficulties. The Audiology Diagnostic Service, operating at Steel’s Lane, offers an assessment service, including hearing aid repairs and rehabilitation, for children with hearing and learning difficulties. Referrals for new patients must be made by family doctors/GPs. Opening hours for the clinics are 9.15am – 4.00pm Monday- Friday.
